It was lovely to bump into Naomi - she looks just like her piccie and we had a brief chat in between our MDT appointments. We definitely should arrange for a get together somewhere a bit nicer than the hospital waiting room! And are there any other people based on South DEvon - it would be lovely to get a little group together?
I'd just seen the physiotherapist and had been booked into the next set of hydrotherapy group sessions. After the discussions on here about that, I'm really looking forward to it now - I hope it'll give me the boost I need to get back into regular classes. He said that I must practice the exercises he gave me last time and build up slowly, and of course my tai chi is good too. Then I saw the podiatrist and he gave me another set of insoles - I think they must be helping because my feet don't hurt at all these days. My toes may be a funny shape but as long as I stick to flat shoes they give me no trouble at all.
This support forum is brilliant for me too - like Naomi says "I don't know where I'd be without it. " - it's so reassuring to hear that lots of other people fret about the same things as I do, and together we come up with ideas and experiences and find a way to cope with RA's challenges. Right now I'm enjoying my life as much as I've ever done - RA has made me adapt but I'm stronger for all that!
Love and hugs - Sylvia xx
